Tribute to Lonnie Kidd |

|
On August 23, 2010 Power Trac lost one of its most avid fans and a loyal customer when he lost his battle with bone cancer. Lonnie Adrian Kidd, 88, from Meadowview, VA and a native of Burlington, NC, had an estimated 13,000 hours behind the wheel of a Power Trac. He owned 2 PT-1850s and a PT-2445. Lonnie was a World War II Veteran who landed on Omaha Beach 14 days after D-Day. He helped transport numerous displaced personnel at the conclusion of the war. After the war, Lonnie went into construction and later became a heavy equipment operator. In later years, Lonnie would discover the Power Trac and was rarely seen without his Power Trac hat on. He carried Power Trac literature in his truck and loved to pass it out and brag about his Power Tracs to everyone he thought may be interested. Power Trac would like to extend our condolences to Lonnie’s family and friends. He will be greatly missed! |
